Dr. Mallard's Diary: Entry 4

 Intestinal  Cherub-   A demon created by the government that lives in the stomachs and colons of unsuspecting victims in order to provide funds  from people's bad  romance ventures .  It  is implanted in young children  via mass produced government chocolate placed  covertly in boxes and other such places such as parties, school events and other such occasions where cheap chocolate may be shilled off.  These chocolates are not chocolates at all but in fact the chocolate-like placenta of Cherub larva sourced from their queen. 
Cherub biology and appearance is quite similar to that of a traditional cherub, as painted by Michelangelo,  however,  they are  by no means angelic.  The  faustian  Doctor Mallard has  stated the following  about  the  creature:  "Horribly voracious, and  terribly charismatic.  While  they live majority of their lives in the human colon,  they possess  a frightening understanding of the human psyche and how to exploit it.  Masters of bullshittery,  I would say, which is rather apt as that is their primary food source."
Symptoms of infection may include,  stubborn infatuation,  the sensation of "butterflies in the stomach",  physical pain when there is a lack of affection, and the horrible urge to spend on grand  frivolous shows of love, the proceeds of which  going straight into the pocket of the hidden rulers.
