The hand of glory goes along with the rabbit's foot in the line of extremely wasteful magical items to create. Many recipes for the creation of such items are crude at best, leaving a whole corpse in its wake, not detailing any clean-up or utilization of the extra parts. While it might spin a whole macabre mystique around the practice, the reality of it is that it's quite frankly inefficient. Necromancy and witchcraft is one thing, being a spoiled slob is another.
Here are the three things that I have done with my excess:
1. Feed it to my zombie
Feeding your zombie is already expensive, And cleaning up a crime scene is doubly so. This kills two birds with one stone. You have one happy zombie and one clean room that you'd be happy to take new products in. Even if you don't have a zombie, find one! Pay it forward. Help your neighborhood necromancer today.
2. Animate it
You could also turn it into an undead servant. Having 90% of a functional servant is usually better than no servant at all as I've found. It also makes it easier to clean up future messes and other housework.
3. Make more items.
The body is a treasure trove of symbolic and mystical significance. Each part has its own unique function and as such it's own special effect when processed correctly. Personally, I have had wonderful experience with Spine of Scratching. Instant relief. It's wonderful. And there are so many more parts, with different combinations and spells to associated. The possibilities are endless. Email me whatever you create, that would be lovely.
